This will be his first visit since the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) issued the Over The River Record of Decision (ROD) on November 7, 2011. The Record of Decision gave Federal approval to Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s original vision to suspend 5.9 miles of fabric along a 42-mile stretch of the Arkansas River. This marks the end of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process and the first time that a work of art has undergone this comprehensive Federal analysis.
