Trans America Trail – Rafting The Arkansas River

This group of friends is doing The Trans America Trail on their Motorcycles, and went rafting with Dvorak Expeditions down the Arkansas River, on their way across Colorado. Take a look at their 2 day rafting adventure, with some segments of Class V rapids.

These Canyon walls open to stunning views of the snow-covered Sangre de Cristo Mountains rising to over 14,000 feet. Your whitewater trip stretching between Salida and Canon City. These rapids are exciting level II to III and move up into Class IV+ for the Royal Gorge. An intermediate to advanced river experience.

Listen to your heart pound… “The Gorge” was originally the location where boaters took out their boats, letting the Arkansas River charge on without them.

The Royal Gorge has become the cutting edge of whitewater thrills throughout America’s southwest.
