This week the Denver Post wrote a great article profiling our beloved Arkansas River, breaking down all the reasons to visit. It is, as the Denver Post put it, “a jack of all trades”. The 100 miles stretch of river has world class whitewater rafting, Gold Medal fishing and a number of multi-sport activities to add to any Arkansas River rafting trip.

And, if you’re going to write about why the Arkansas River is such a popular destination you need to ask the experts. And no one knows the Arkansas River better than our own Bill Dvorak:

“There’s a lot of talk that this is the most utilized stretch of whitewater in the world, and this country for sure,” said Bill Dvorak, whose Nathrop-based Dvorak Expeditions lays claim to the first official outfitter’s license issued by the state. “It depends a little bit on the water level. In years like this year, when we had high water, we don’t get so many people because people tend to shy away from it. But typically it’s a very busy place. – Denver Post”
