Colorado River Kayak or Raft Course – 2 or 3 Days

KAYAK – Inflatable Kayak OR Oar RAFT INSTRUCTIONAL TRIP ON THE COLORADO RIVER
The legendary Colorado River, over 1400 miles long, starts just above Little Gore Canyon. This is one of the first boat-able sections of the river. Alpine scenery, historic points, hot springs and milder whitewater make this a great family trip and all within an easy drive from Denver.
This is an ideal river experience for beginner to intermediate instructional courses. Children 5 and up will enjoy this classic river expedition.
Please specify in notes the craft you wish to receive instruction with; either kayak or raft or inflatable kayak instructional.
Instructor will pick the appropriate sections or training for beginners.

Meals begin with lunch and end with lunch for 2 or 3 days.

TRIP PREPARATION
When you get to the river we will fit you out with your personal flotation device (PFD) and gather everyone to the circle for introductions and a river safety talk.
Call our office to confirm details of your trip meeting location, travel plans, equipment rentals needed and final details for your Colorado River course.
FOOD
The meals are planned with lots of fresh and hearty vegetables and salads. Gourmet selections for the delight of our guests throughout the journey. Your guides will be in charge of all preparations and they will amaze you with what comes out of those dutch ovens!
We can accommodate special diets with advance notice and the menu almost always suits the vegetarian.
ALCOHOL
Dvorak’s will provide complimentary wine for dinners. You’re welcome to bring alcohol on multi-day expeditions, as long as it’s in unbreakable containers. Discretion in alcohol consumption during whitewater days is strongly advised. If you would like us to pick up a particular beer and bring it to the river, please advise and payment can be made for your purchase at the river put-in with your Trip Leader.
GRATUITIES
Gratuities are not included in your trip cost. While tipping is done at your discretion, tipping is one of the gauges we use in terms of customer satisfaction. If you are ever not satisfied, please let us know so that we can adjust our expeditions in the future.
EQUIPMENT RENTAL
If you plan to provide your own equipment we can adjust the cost of the course. Any additional equipment is available at our rental rates.
BY PLANE
Major airports are Denver International or Colorado Springs; rent a car or van from there to the Colorado River Launch site for the start of your trip (course). Car rentals are available in Denver or Colorado Springs.
BY CAR
You will be given meeting location for your trip and GPS to direct you to the launch site. 12 miles southwest of Kremmling, CO @ the Pumphouse Put-in location
You will be sent float notes with more details and suggested lodging near by.
