Cast yourself in a new direction on the North Platte fly or spin fishing trip with Dvorak Expeditions. We offer float-fishing trips on some of the wildest and most productive trout fishing waters in the west. The North Platte fishing is a great choice as it is considered by many fishermen to be one of the top rated fishing expeditions in Colorado.

We are happy to customize your fishing experience to give you the best value and variety in western trout fishing, from half-days to 5-day trips. Our fishing trips are led by guides who are experienced professionals and know the best spots to fish depending on the specific river and time you choose to cast to. Our guides and boats are set up for a maximum of two anglers. We use inflatable rafts as our craft of choice but also have drift “dories” available by special arrangement on certain rivers. You are welcome to bring your waders for fishing near camp or offshore during the day.

Our fly fishing trips are catered and include all boating equipment, delicious meals and beverages. Once on shore, we take care of the camp chores and cooking whole you kick-back or keep fishing to your heart’s content. We recommend renting fishing reels, rods, flies and gear from us if needed. A valid fishing license must also be purchased in the state you wish to fish in which we are happy to help you with.

Designated a Gold Medal Trout fishery, the North Platte is one of those legendary stretches that is known throughout the west.  Avid anglers speak about this one in whispers around the campfire. “The Home of Lunker Trout” it offers both Browns and Rainbows.

The primary reason for this reputation is the river’s inaccessibility.  The only way to fish the entire corridor is by float fishing. Our CUSTOM fishing trips put two anglers and one guide in each raft.  This allows you to fish downstream at your own pace. To allow for adequate time for fishing and full enjoyment of the canyon, it is best to plan a three-day trip.

The special regulations are 6 fish in possession, one only over 16″.  All fish 10 – 16″ must be released. Fly and lures only. We encourage everyone to catch and release.  A valid Wyoming fishing license is required. An out-of-state 1-5-day license can be purchased in Riverside, Wyoming on the first day of your trip if necessary.  Please decide at the time of your booking to do this. We will be happy to give you some tips on types of lures, flies, etc. before your trip so you can stock up.

If you’re rusty, we’re happy to offer daily classes for Fly Fishing Clinic on the Arkansas River “Gold Medal”.
