Our
trips feel more like a private trip. We
deliberately limit the number of people on our trips
because we want you to share the experience of the
sounds and speed of a rapid with close friends and
family. Having spent our lives here, we are also
happy to to share our knowledge of the history of
this beautiful part of America’s west with you, as
we bounce through the waves.
The
Guide makes the trip. We hire guides who are
both great river runners and terrific people. Many
of them have rafted all over the world from Costa
Rica to Nepal. Our guides are trained in one of the
most rigorous
guide training programs we know
and one which we are proud to have developed with
our deep experience in river running honed over our
35 year history.
Safety matters. We have one of the strongest
safety records among the outfitters in our area
of Colorado due to our high standards for our guides
and staff.

“Scale on Class I to VI”
Class I: Easy float
Class II: Medium with clear passages
Class III: Difficult waves, narrow passages
Class IV: Very difficult, long, boiling rapids
Class V: Extremely difficult, big violent drops
Class VI: Unrunnable!
