Help Make Brown’s Canyon a National Monument!
Brown’s Canyon, is where one of the latest opportunities await to make history.
Dvorak Rafting and Kayak Expeditions has been in operation in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley at the headwaters of the Arkansas River in Colorado, since 1985. The protection of these 22,000 acres enables companies like ours to continue sharing the world famous white water and wildlife experience with you! We believe it is critical to protect this natural resource for the next generation to enjoy! Whether a family outing, corporate team building or just time alone in nature to rejuvenate, protecting this gem is an opportunity we can’t let pass us by!
With the Antiquities Act, there has been a recent push to make this cherished resource into a protected national monument. The Antiquities Act is a law that gives the President of the United States the authority to restrict the use of particular public land owned by the government. Mark Udall and Michael Bennet, two of Colorado’s democratic senators, have asked President Obama to designate 22,000 acres of national forest and Bureau of Land Management land along the Arkansas River as a national monument. This is a community driven effort to preserve the raw beauty of this natural resource. Join in and see what you can do!
