The river flows 230 miles north of the Bear Mountains in Colorado and is ranked as one of the best runs in the United States. The Dolores River runs deep through the San Juan National Forest, displaying natural petroglyphs along the way. The Dolores is normally around a 32 mile rafting trip and on average takes three days to complete. It is an adventure for people who want some good action. Depending on the season, most rapids are raked between a class two and four. The Dolores area also offers great white water kayaking, awesome hiking, and views that will knock you off your feet.
